We are talking about securom here and im sure it likely has some notorious 'phone-home' protocol when its launched that authenticates with a server somewhere that unlocks the game. Remembering that we have unlimited installs of the game, we still have a serial number and we have to revoke our licence every time we want to uninstall or play on another computer else it will lock you out of the game and you will have to phone support. so in my mind, its a great idea.

While it may be a working nocd crack, it's still being distributed by a third party, and still violates copywrite law. They still have no rights over software distribution, and they're pretty much admitting to tampering with private property (unless they've been given consent by either owner of the software, which could be)
how come that I was able to play gta 4 the disc version on windows 10? Also I didn't use any no-cd crack at all. All I did was patch the game to 1040 and use xliveless, which disables games for Windows Live. I guess that I was lucky...
My copy of GTA London 1969 (not the Classic Collection one) works out of the box on Windows 8. It's CDDA and the game disc need to be present in the FIRST CD drive letter on your system. Is it? Don't use a cracked version.
Anyway, after a nocd crack will it play CDDA music from the first CD drive letter then? The nocd crack probably is an original exe that's not "fixed" and is looking for CDDA audio. If that's the case and the audio tracks are in an easily available format you can just burn them to a CD.
